Girl In The Hood by James O’Sullivan
This festive season sees the return of Bispham CastAways’ ever popular family pantomime! This year’s offering is full of your favourite fairytale characters; “Girl In The Hood” by James O’Sullivan, directed by Fern Crump, performed by arrangement with Off The Wall Plays. It follows Red as her woeful Mother (she lost her husband but her Mother-In-Law won’t leave!) sends her to Nana’s house, through the wolf infested woods, wearing a bright red riding hood and carrying a juicy steak! Luckily her best friend Goldilocks is currently hiding from three angry bears, so is happy to go with Red as backup. Unfortunately, the Big Bad Wolf is not the only danger waiting for Red and Goldie, the Evil Queen and her henchmen are roaming the land taxing everyone, so she can have a gold toilet for the royal bottom. Don’t want to pay… well, that’s not a clever option! When things take a turn for the worst when the Big Bad Wolf eats Nana whole, Red and Goldie must find a Witch to save her… the only problem is the only Witch available is a wicked one who doesn’t want to help. Following Red’s adventures to beat the Evil Queen and save her Nana, she finds true love and many friends to help her in her quest!
